Training and Info Sessions

Interchange Outer East offers a free comprehensive program of training in health, safety and disability related issues.

Topics range from legislative requirements such as first aid, medication and manual handling to specialised medical care, and incorporate the latest sector developments and trends.

To ensure we provide best quality service and support, we encourage our permanent staff, support workers and volunteers to participate in training to advance their skills and qualifications.

Families and other interested people are also welcome to attend training, but a small fee may be charged for some training sessions. We are also happy to tailor sessions to suit individual needs and requests.

Volunteer Orientation

Our volunteer orientation sessions are a great way to start off your volunteer experience. You’ll learn a bit about IOE, meet other volunteers, get tips and learn some skills that will give you confidence and make volunteering on camps and activities much easier.

It’s compulsory for all volunteers to attend one orientation session within the first three months of becoming an IOE volunteer. We’ll be running regular sessions to give everyone an opportunity to attend.

The next volunteer orientation session dates will be posted soon.

For more information please contact our volunteer coordinators on 9758 5522 or email volunteers@ioe.org.au
