Volunteering is an excellent way to gain experience if you are looking at working in the disability, health, community and/or education sectors.
Many volunteers find casual or permanent work as IOE support workers and with the introduction of the NDIS this is an employment growth area. Many of our program coordinators and recreation leaders also started out as volunteers with IOE.
