Such is the story with many people in our team, Melissa volunteered on a camp with Interchange Outer East over 10 years ago and hasn’t looked back. She has previously worked within family coordination and children’s recreation roles. After a hiatus to travel the world, Melissa returned to lead the newly established Support Coordination Team which allows its members to work holistically with families in different areas of their lives. It was on this hiatus that Mel met her husband with who she now shares a beautiful daughter and a home in the Yarra Valley.

Melissa enjoys the opportunity to be a part of a multi-service approach to supporting participants meet their goals and she loves seeing people try new things and develop new skills because the right services and supports are in place. In her professional and personal life, Melissa tries to always shift perspective and focus on the positives whenever possible. She enjoys getting outdoors, exploring new places, traveling and experiencing new cultures and foods.
