Board of Management – General Member

Sue Chapman

Sue Chapman has had a long association with IOE – 26 years in fact. Her son who is now 29 has been participating in IOE services and programs since he was a young boy and is still a much loved part of the IOE family.

Sue holds IOE in high esteem and says, in her opinion,  it stands apart from all the other NGOs in the way it has transitioned to the NDIS and encompassed its challenges and changes, while keeping services focused on the client

Sue is very active in the disability field. She started and maintains the Disability Melbourne East facebook group, is a committee member for the Eastern Disability Housing Network and is involved in many disability networks and also acts as an advocate for people with disabilities.

With an employment history in business administration in both building construction and disability, her networking capacity and contacts and involvement with disability issues Sue feels she can make a positive contribution to the BOM. As full time carer for both her mother and her son she understands the agency from both sides.
