Marcelo joined IOE in 1997, commencing as a support worker while studying a Bachelor of Psychology. Despite a short break of 2.5 years to travel the world, Marcelo has worked throughout the organisation in several capacities; from adult day program, family and volunteer coordination, recreation and most recently, as the newly created pathways to employment coordinator. In addition to his team leader role, Marce remains active on recreation programs and 1:1 support.

He is passionate about working with people and helping them achieve their best and enjoys working at an organisation with people who share the same values around all working together towards a common goal.

Away from work, Marce loves watching and playing more sports and getting away camping with his family.
