Support From Businesses

The support we receive from businesses and corporate organisations is extremely valuable to Interchange Outer East and watching these relationships progress is always encouraging.

The overall beneficiaries are the participants and their families whose life options are enhanced through greater access to support, respite, recreation, friendship, employment opportunities and independent living prospects.

Community growth and development is supported by the interaction between Interchange Outer East, community members and local organisations. Working together and continuing community collaboration ensures the whole community benefits.

By supporting Interchange Outer East your organisation can enjoy contributing to the development of a stronger, more open and dynamic Australian community.

Social Context

The need for creating supportive environments and communities have never been greater. More than one in five Australians reported a disability in a 2003 preliminary ABS survey.  Support services are the key to ensuring the well-being and livelihood of many of our families.

Through access to services that provide education, respite, skill development and basic social support the life options and choices for many people with a disability are enhanced and the quality of life for their families is substantially improved.

IOE works with a vision of enabling children and young people with disabilities to participate in their communities in a meaningful way so that they may achieve dignity and value in society and be offered choice and independence throughout their lives.
