For Interchange Outer East Mothers of children and young adults with disabilities.
'Mothers only' activities offer mums an opportunity to get together, have 'time out', forget their responsibilities and enjoy themselves. Mums can attend 1 activity per term plus a weekend away in November each year.
Activities to date have included days/nights out at markets, theatre restaurants, BBQ boat trips, Christmas in July, weekends of Murder Mystery, Trivia, Spas, at the beach, shopping, sightseeing, horseriding... plus much more.
All details are taken care of so Mums only have to relax!
Our Mothers' Group continues to grow and new Mums are always made to feel most welcome.
For Interchange Outer East Fathers of children and young adults with disabilities.
Interchange provides occasional weekend camps for Dads to provide them with an opportunity to meet other fathers, relax and have fun. Some weekends are more structured enabling Dads to discuss with others their role as father of a child with a disability. Other weekends are simply for relaxing. socialising and having a break and a good time.

Family CampFamily Camp is an annual event held over the long weekend of March or June. The camp is an opportunity for families to enjoy a social weekend of fun, activity and relaxation together with other Interchange families. Interchange staff coordinate the camp and activities and some volunteer support is available to families. "Family Camp is the best thing in the world. I just love it and so do my kids . It feels like I am going on holidays with one big family everyone is so friendly and supportive. We all can’t wait for the next one to come around"
- Patricia V, parent.
