Families

The wellbeing of families has always been at the centre of IOE’s culture.

By supporting every family member, not just the person with a disability, we help create stronger, more resilient families who are better able to meet the demands of caring for someone with a disability.

We believe that strong families are the key to strong communities.

IOE’s Family Support Service programs provide your family with opportunities for short term respite, social connection, information sharing, networking plus fun activities.

We have social and support groups for each individual family member: mums, dads, siblings, combined carers, grandparent carers and the family as a whole.

Parent & Carer Support

Fun sociable outings, weekends away, information sharing, support and friendship.

Don’t do it alone, come along to one of our groups and share some good times with others who understand your journey.

Family Camp & Family Days

Join in the fun of IOE family camps, family days and events. Bring your whole family. Become a part of our IOE family!

Sibling Support Groups

Fun, friendship and support for all siblings who have a brother or sister with a disability.

Host Program

The Host Program is our longest running program. A volunteer host is matched to your child and spends regular time with them. Its all about sharing support, building relationships and everyone having a break.
