The summer break, the busiest time of the year for the recreation program at Interchange, is just about upon us.

This year is no exception. Busloads of happy and excited children will be heading off from Interchange on 5 camps and 5 day activities during January, plus extra camps and activities for young adults through the SHARP program.

The time consuming task of allocating activities is only part of the work that goes into the preparation for the summer holidays. All the equipment that we take along – playthings, games equipment, paints, books etc - has to be checked, sorted and replenished. The fun really starts when we open up the much loved dressup case. Dress ups are always popular with the kids on camps - dragons, fairies, tutus and other items that defy description – what better way to pass a rainy day on camp. So naturally the Rec Team have to try on all the clothes – just to check on zips and cleanliness - yeh!

We are all looking forward to another great holiday program and to having lots of fun with a fantastic group of children and an amazing group of volunteers.
