Interchange Outer East has a brand new website that is fresh, informative and more interactive.
With over 700,000 non profit organisations in Australia it’s important to us that we have a website that is attractive and reflects the agency’s culture and values. We need to be able to provide clear information, attract volunteers and engage with online audiences.
The website includes new features such as member areas for families, volunteers and staff, links to social media applications and latest news stories and information.
The members’ area enables staff, volunteers or families to login, read information, check a detailed calendar and most importantly contribute to forums and leave feedback.
Interchange Outer East has a number of teenage volunteers and it’s crucial that we maintain communication with them and therefore essential that we get on board with online social media applications such as Facebook and Twitter.
But it’s not just teenagers on social media sites, there are a growing number of adults and organisations joining this new way of communicating and we need to keep up.
Interchange has been working with website marketing experts, Webdynamic over the past 6 months to ensure that we have the most engaging and accessible website for the people using it.
A website reflects an organisation and needs to send the message to current and potential supporters that we are professional and progressive.
The last time Interchange Outer East updated their website was in 2004. The typical lifecycle of a website is 3 years so we certainly got good mileage out of that.
The website will be officially launched at the Interchange Outer East Conference in April 2010.
