Anticipation is high as families count down the days to, what is for many, the highlight of the year – the IOE Family Camp.  The annual March long weekend get together for all IOE members – not just families- has become a much loved IOE tradition.

Held at Coonawarra Farm Resort, Glenaladale (between Sale and Bairnsdale), Family Camp gives everyone the opportunity to get away with others who have an understanding of each others’ situation.

Kids and adults are kept busy with all the wonderful on site activities – flying foxes, giant swing, horse riding, canoeing, raft making, archery, swimming plus much more. No Family Camp would be complete without CEO Fred’s traditional and infamous night walk, soccer, footy and basketball matches, night entertainment and all in mud fights in the lake.

For the less active there is plenty of space to just relax or socialise with other families. A band of IOE volunteers is always on hand during the weekend to help with the children and give parents a bit of time for themselves – a rare treat for many.

Check out the website photo gallery for photos from Family Camp 2013 – and then keep a watch for those from 2014. The photos tell the story!
