Interchange Outer East’s drama program received a boost today when it was presented with a cheque for just over $1000.

The donation, presented jointly by Yarra Valley Youth Theatre and Adlib Entertainment, was made in memory of David Sinclair, who died tragically in 2012, aged 23.
Theatre was a big part of David’s life and he was an involved member, for many years, of both his local youth theatre groups, Take A Bow Yarra Valley Youth Theatre and Warburton’s Misfits Youth Theatre and of the Interchange Outer East drama group.

The proceeds from the ticket sales of Take A Bow’s 3 performances of Adlib Entertainment’s show ‘Cinderalla’ plus Adlibs’ performance royalties made up the generous donation.

The Berwick based Adlib Entertainment company writes and produces drama for youth and adult amateur and professional theatre groups and, amongst other services, also runs a drama school.  Manager, Peter Dowler has fond memories of David “ David had said that one of my company’s songs from one of our shows was his all time favourite – it was even played at his final ceremony”

Yarra Valley Youth Theatre was represented at the cheque presentation by Pat Ingram, who has had a long association with David. She said the group had decided the donation should be used to give David’s friends from the Interchange drama group, the opportunity to see a professional theatre production in the city. “I know David would be very happy knowing his friends were able to enjoy a wonderful theatrical experience in his memory” she said. “It seems a fitting way to remember him.”
