IOE is embarking on yet another new initiative – this one to bring people together who have complex communication needs (CCN). By bringing families, individuals, volunteers, friends, support workers and therapists together in a social setting,  IOE hopes to encourage the building of a supportive community and network .

We would like to use this opportunity to begin building a communication support network of people who would like to work together with us to further develop a culture of communication support within our IOE community and beyond.

Through the sharing of knowledge, skills and advice around language immersion and modelling, we hope to offer a range of family social events, holidays and training opportunities and we are dedicated to providing services for people with Complex Communication Needs (CCN) with a key focus on respecting each individuals chosen form of communication

All who use or have an interest in CCN are invited to join us for what will be the first of many dinners, picnics and BBQs.

When: Friday 17 March
Time: 5pm-7pm
Where: Community Room, Lilydale Lake
We’ll provide: sausage sizzle, drinks and fun games and activities
RSVP: Jo Davis 9758 5522 jo.davis@ioe.org.au
