With so much going on in Melbourne city it is always a popular destination for a getaway. In mid October, a group from Enterprises headed into the city for a four day stay at the Melbourne Discovery hostel accommodation in the heart of the city. Its a great central location with a friendly atmosphere and good facilities. Our guys particularly loved the hostel’s pool table and table tennis.

Food is always an important part of any camp and we went out to lots of different restaurants which we all loved – Leo’s in St Kilda, The Hamburger Joint in Fed Square and a great little Mexican restaurant. We all loved eating!!

We did lots of the touristy things. We took advantage of all that Fed Square had to offer including a visit to the amazing ACMI and took in the city sights and the Eureka Tower.  We went to the Vic Market, walked along St Kilda beach and Pier and checked out the restaurants along Brunswick St.

Most of us enjoyed the MCG tour, although some of us found bits of it a little boring. It was great getting about on the buses, trains and trams and we kept fit with all the walking in between.

Overall everyone had a lovely time away. It was particularly good seeing the guys come out of their shells, and laughing and smiling.
