Our new ASD Teen Social Group is up and running. Ongoing get togethers are planned for the third Sunday of each month in the Canterbury Room at Kilsyth Club, cnr Colchester and Canterbury Rds, Kilsyth between 5pm and 8pm.

The group, which aims to support Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) teens in social settings, is designed for high functioning ASD teens attending secondary school. It is a great opportunity to eat out and meet new friends who have similar interests. It is also an opportunity for parents to meet, chat and obtain information.

We have had two dinners so far which have been a roaring success in what is a very relaxed atmosphere. As well as sharing a meal the teens have been enjoying some friendly challenges playing UNO, chess and various computer games on a range of devices. Its a formula that seems to be working really well for the group. While the teens have been getting top know each other,  parents have been sitting around happily chatting and socialising too.

If this sounds like something you would like to get involved with, please give Erin a call at IOE on 9758 5522 or email
