Another Beautiful Day

Our last Mums outing was right up there on the list of successful and relaxing days. The weather was perfect for our visit to the Yering farmers market in Yarra Glen. It’s a lovely market, both in situation, with stunning views of the Yarra Valley, and in produce, with really top quality and varied produce from local growers and producers. The olive oil, raspberry vinegar and marmalade I purchased were brilliant!

While some of us browsed and tasted our way around the market, some ladies took advantage of the beautiful day to observe the action from the Yering winery’s sunny deck while enjoying a glass of wine or a coffee.

Next stop was the Heritage Country Club in Chirnside Park where we were booked for their famous high tea. Buffet style, there was plenty of food for even the hungriest person, with a massive amount of choice of both sweet and savoury goodies. As usual the talking and laughing amongst our group was non stop. Special mention was Natasha’s expression when she bit down on what she thought was an olive and discovered it was a caper berry – obviously capers are not a taste Natasha has acquired!

With about an hour to spare everyone took themselves off for a walk around the extensive grounds around the country club, as much to walk off the just consumed calories as to enjoy the sun and beautiful surrounds.

All in all a lovely, relaxing and sociable day. Looking forward to our next activity – the Mothers’ weekend away.

If you are an IOE  mother and haven’t as yet been along to a Mums’ group activity, we would love you to join us for future activities.
