Financial Information

WHO FUNDS US ?

The last twenty years has seen an enormous expansion in Interchange Outer East's services. Our income (and expenditure) has gone from just over $18,000 in 1983 to over $5 million in 2008. Funding comes from three main sources:

•    State Government - Home And Community Care, Disability & F.F.Y.A
•    Federal Government - Commonwealth Respite for Carers
•    Other / Self Generated - Client Fees, Trusts, Donations, Fundraising.

Over the years the percentage each area has contributed to the running of Interchange Outer East has changed greatly. Whereas the Federal Government was originally the major funding body, now the majority of our funding is from State Government sources, followed closely by income generated from our purchased care services. Federal Government funding plus income from trusts, grants and funding rounds make up the remainder.
