Our vision, mission, values and service promise govern every aspect of our service provision and delivery.

Working within the Human Rights framework is intrinsic to our organisation.

Our Values

With family and fun at the core of everything we do, we are flexible in our approach, respond to your needs, and deliver support programs which:

  • Develop confidence, life skills, and provide new experiences
  • Enable each child and young person with a disability to be engaged and included in their community
  • Recognise that the wellbeing of every family member matters.

IOE is also backed by a strong culture that values people as being its most valuable asset.

We pride ourselves on being open, honest and transparent and believe strongly in maintaining a friendly and personal approach in all we do.

We have a pragmatic approach to rules and regulations, a commitment to make things work and a strong desire to do the best we can to achieve the best possible outcome.

Our Service Promise

Opportunity • Family • Fun • Community • Respect

  • Opportunity

Provide a range of opportunities that creatively and innovatively respond to the needs and wants of each family. We will listen to families and individuals, working together to make things happen, and extending choice into areas not previously considered.

  • Family

Acknowledge and celebrate the value of every member of the family and the importance of the family unit at the core of our business. We will focus on family wellbeing by providing services to support all members of a family of a person with a disability.

  • Fun

Foster a culture of fun and friendship as the basis of all our services.  We will strive to create a safe environment where people can be themselves, build natural friendships and benefit from peer to peer support and social connection.

  • Community

We will work collaboratively with all areas of the community and develop opportunities for connections and partnerships that are meaningful, valuable and enjoyable for all involved.

  • Respect

We will treat every individual and family with dignity and respect at all times. We are committed to providing a safe environment for all, following the Australian Human Rights Framework and ChildWise principles in everything we do.

We welcome and celebrate individuality and diversity in all its forms.

We acknowledge the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation as the traditional owners of the land on which we operate.
