Last Friday a group of 11 young people packed their bags, met in Lilydale and headed into the city for a weekend adventure. Once we’d settled into our accommodation everyone had a massive brainstorm about all the things we could do. Hundreds of ideas were thrown around and then voted on and ‘bam!’,  we had a jam packed plan for the weekend. Knowing how much we had planned to fit in over just a couple of days, we all headed off to bed, super excited for what the rest of the weekend held.

Over the weekend we went to comic book store, Minotaur, as part of international free comic book day and scored ourselves some free comics, which we read while we travelled by public transport to Luna Park in St Kilda.  Some of our group set themselves the challenge of going on every ride, which sadly they didn’t make due to the park closing before they could complete their challenge. We went out to dinner, wandered the streets of Melbourne and continued our comic book theme with a trip to the movies to see ‘Captain America: Civil War’ We even managed to fit in a visit to Melbourne Museum to check out the ‘Jurassic World’ exhibition!

It was a fantastic weekend all round, with some people experiencing the city at night for the first time. We had a ball and can’t wait for our next adventure.
